Picture language – 6 tips for good picture language

Images can contain everything and nothing and mean something different to each person.
They tell stories and can be interpreted individually.

Entire films consist of many individual images that tell a sequence of movements and thus an entire story.
The application possibilities and use of images and graphics are very diverse.

What is crucial is a good visual language that matches the needs of the target group.

The tastes of a younger target group may differ from those of the 65+ target group.
Pay attention to what you are saying here and what business, product or service you are trying to market.
To do this, find your red line and use your existing color scheme as a guide in your pictures.

6 tips for good imagery

1. expressiveness
Let your pictures do the talking and shoot towards your target audience without them having to or wanting to swerve.

2. emotion
How emphatic and emotional are your pictures and graphics? Can your target group find themselves here and relate to the image?

3. stand out!
Be unique and stand out. Create a corporate design that no one else has! Build on that and tell your story in pictures.

4. message
Is your advertising message clear without your customer having to read your slogan?
That is your goal!

5. structure
As in real life, keep your imagery clear and tidy. Your customer will otherwise lose the overview.

6. colors
As much as necessary, as little as possible.
The motto for the color scheme, which builds directly on the structure.
Take your corporate design color scheme and stay in that color scheme.

Exceptions prove the rule: A breakout from the regular world of images can also draw attention to itself. Provided it fits into your marketing strategy, anything is possible.
Also think about your follow-up campaigns and what their imagery should look like.

Based on our explanatory video examples, you will see a recognition value based on the visual language, which, in addition to the corporate design, the logo and the colors, also reflect our characters in the clips themselves.
